Pacific

Had a good sail to Panama and canal transit into the Pacific.  Met up again with Elaine and Terry on Virgos Child, last seen in Turkey.

After the canal transit spent a few days stocking the boat for the sail to the Iles Marquises. After a nice peaceful sail made landfall at Atuona, on Hiva-Oa.

Then sailed the island of Tahuata, then to Hanaiapa back on Hiva-Oa. Then onto Hakahau and Hakahetau on Ua-Pou. From there we sailed to Ahe in

the Tuamotus.

Had fun visiting a small pearl farm and enjoying life with the locals.

Tahiti was our next stop and then onto Moorea and Bora-Bora.

Vavau, Tonga was the next stop. We had fun catching up with old friends and enjoying the social gatherings.

Then onto Fiji where we caught up with Lynne and Grahame on their new yacht Adamite. We last saw them on

their yacht Minaret in Croatia. They sailed up the Red Sea the same time as we did in 2000.

From Fiji we sailed to Vanuatu and then onto Chesterfield Reef, an unoccupied and beautiful place.

We crossed the path we made back in 1998, when we first purchased Gone Troppo, just before midnight 23/10/2011, near Lady Elliot Island and

closed the loop.

                                                                                      We had circumnavigated the world.

Next morning we cleared into Australia at Bundaberg and as luck would have it Kevin and Roz Flynn cleared in a couple of hours later.

Kevin had helped us sail our then new boat to Darwin back in 1998. So it was great to have a drink with them to celebrate the occasion.

After getting used to being back in Oz we started to look for a place to haul GT to do another refit. Sailed slowly down the coast checking out spots

until we ended up at Maclean on the Clarence river in NSW. The Harwwod Slipway was nearby and it looked like a great place to do the work.

The town of Maclean was also a great town that we fell in love with. So we started to look for a place to stay and ended up buying a house.
